392 dimples for a longer ball flight

Choose the best golf ball for your style of play

Would you like to hit your ball further on the golf course? Do you dream of hitting a drive that lands in the middle of the fairway, past your teammates' balls? Then maybe you need a type of golf ball that suits your game! Just like golf clubs, the little white ball also affects your performance on the golf course. There are different constructions to choose from, various dimple patterns that react differently in the air, and there are several different properties that are good to be aware of. Here is some more information for those who want to know more and who want to find the best golf ball for their game.

Discover the science inside a golf ball

The fact that golf balls perform in different ways is due to their having different constructions on the inside and outside. Although they may look the same, the technology that is used varies.

The most common manufacturing methods are creating 4-piece and 3-piece balls, and sometimes even 5-piece balls. A 4-piece golf ball  often results in a softer feeling when the club hits the ball and then usually gives greater opportunities for spinning the ball. It still has a great urethane cover, but a 4-piece ball has a layer between the core and the outer layer that can become softer. When the ball spins more, players who do not spin the ball as much can normally get the ball to stay on harder greens. We have found a good balance between mantle and core in our balls, which results in high ball flight, and our explosive and adaptive core gives extra ball speed.

A 3-piece ball is often a little more inflexible when hit. Players with a high swing speed compress the ball more and can therefore not feel this in the same way. But this also decreases the ball’s spin rate and lets you hit even longer shots. Lower spin rate = longer air time.

Which golf ball you should choose depends on your golf game and your swing speed, but today most professionals use balls with 3 or 4 layers. Think about whether you need length or if you need to get the ball to stop faster on the green.

The best golf ball has lots of dimples

A good golf ball is an important part of your equipment. It can help you gain better control and lower your points on the golf course. All golf balls have dimples that lift the ball. According to research and studies done by the USGA and other golf clubs, it has been concluded that somewhere between 300-450 dimples is optimal for a golf ball.

Thus, the outside of the ball is just as important as the construction of the inside. The dimples allow air to get closer to the ball, as a protective layer of turbulence is created around the ball. Thus, a ball with dimples can fly further and make you a better golfer on long golf courses. Our balls have 392 dimples in our own design that gives them their hang time in the air.

Do not spend too much money on expensive golf balls that may not even help you on the golf course. Think about what support you need on the course and figure out what works best for you.
